Spain’s bill to regulate online gaming advertising has come in for criticism, with one advertising body claiming that it does not go far enough to protect minors, while operator association JDigital says that companies are in danger of being hit with “excessive” restrictions.

Advertising watchdog the Consejo Audiovisual de Andalucía (CAA) has claimed that the current text of the bill has “significant shortcomings,” suggesting that gambling should be subject to the same advertising restrictions as alcohol and tobacco.
