Pennsylvania Senate Republicans have introduced a new bill that proposes sweeping changes to the state’s gambling legislation, and provides for the introduction of iGaming activities by state casino operators, although at a significantly higher tax rate than nearby New Jersey.

Senate Bill 900, which was announced last week, was introduced by Senator Kim Ward as prime sponsor, alongside Senators Robert Tomlinson, Elder Vogel, Joseph Scarnati, Camera Bartolotta and Patrick Stefano. It would allow Category 1 and 2 slot machine licence holders and table game operation certificate holders to offer iGaming products in the state upon receipt of a permit.
