The New Jersey Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association (NJTHA) has filed a petition with the US Supreme Court seeking a review of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals’ decision against New Jersey in its battle to repeal the state’s sports betting prohibition.

In a 10-2 ruling issued in August, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals upheld an earlier court ruling which found that New Jersey's partial repeal of certain prohibitions on sports betting violates the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA).
