Thursday's House Judiciary Committee hearing on sports betting in America will hear from the National Football League (NFL) that federally mandated use of official league data, along with the right for leagues to determine the types of bets that are available on their competitions, is the only way to ensure the integrity of sports.

NFL executive vice president of communications and public affairs, Jocelyn Moore, will tell the hearing that without continued federal guidance and oversight, sports leagues and state governments alone will not be able to fully protect the integrity of sporting contests and "guard against the harms Congress has long recognized as being associated with sports betting".
