New York lawmakers set to consider online poker legislation

New York Senator Joseph Addabbo has prefiled a bill that would classify certain interactive poker games as games of skill.

It would amend the state’s racing, pari-mutuel wagering and breeding law to define gambling as a person staking or risking “something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance or a future contingent event not under his or her control or influence”.
