The Oregon Lottery Commission has awarded an extended contract to its instant games supplier Scientific Games.

The companies have worked together since 2010, rolling out products such as Monopoly-branded scratchcards and Scientific Games' popular proprietary games Precious Metal Gold and Safecracker Crossword, among others.

"Scientific Games has been a trusted and valued provider of our scratch-it products," the lottery's traditional products manager Tina Erickson said.

"With their game innovations and guidance on instant product best practices, we can continue to maximize the Oregon Lottery's contributions to statewide projects for job creation, economic development, water and wildlife preservation, parks and recreation, and education. Together, we are doing good things."

Scientific Games senior vice president of instant products, John Schulz, added: "We are proud that the work we do with the Oregon Lottery has produced a ripple effect through the state, entertaining players and benefiting the quality of life for residents in every corner of Oregon. I am confident that we will continue to help the Lottery grow Scratch-it sales and returns to the state."

Shares in Scientific Games Corp. (Co. Data) (NASDAQ:SGMS) closed in New York Thursday up 1.56 per cent at $35.90 per share.
