Entain’s bwin brand has been unveiled as the official sports betting partner of the National Football League in Spain.

The multi-year partnership with the National Football League comes as the NFL prepares to host its first official game in Spain, when the Washington Commanders take on the Miami Dolphins at Madrid’s iconic Santiago Bernabéu stadium on November 16.

“Partnering with the NFL is an exciting milestone for bwin in Spain, in a year when the league is celebrating its first game in Spain at the Santiago Bernabéu, one of the great temples of world sport,” said Curry Sloan, managing director for Canada, Iberia, and Latin America at Entain.

“As one of the world’s most exciting sports leagues, the NFL shares our passion for competition, entertainment, and fan engagement. Together, we will deliver unforgettable experiences and bring fans in Spain even closer to the action, always with a focus on safe and responsible gaming.”

The agreement for Spain adds to bwin’s existing official sports betting partnerships with the NFL in Germany and Austria.

Brett Gosper, head of Europe and APAC at the NFL, commented: “We’re thrilled to be hosting our first-ever regular season NFL game in Madrid in November and are delighted to have bwin on board as a new partner in the market, helping to create unique and exciting experiences for our growing fan base in Spain.”

The NFL will play seven games of the 2025 season outside the United States, with the first international game held on Friday in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This will be followed by games in Dublin, London, Berlin and Madrid.

Last week, Flutter Entertainment’s Paddy Power brand was unveiled as the official sports betting partner of the NFL in the United Kingdom and Ireland, while Tabcorp’s TAB secured an extension to its sports betting partnership with the NFL through to 2030.

Shares in bwin parent Entain plc. (LSE:ENT) were trading 0.64 per cent higher at 869.97 pence per share in London Monday morning.
