UK-listed betting and gaming operator Betfair has expanded its range of payment methods through a deal with online payment processor Ukash.

The Ukash solution allows customers to verify their identity and make cash deposits into their Betfair accounts using Ukash vouchers, which are available from over 50,000 retail outlets across the UK. The payment processor also offers a reverse service which allows players to withdraw funds from retail outlets.

The new payment and withdrawal service is available to Betfair’s mobile and desktop customers.

Ukash chief executive David Hunter praised Betfair as the world’s first successful betting exchange, saying the company was respected for its innovation and values.

“Like Ukash, they are a great British success story and this makes our cooperation even more satisfying,” Hunter said.

Betfair’s group operations director Ian Chuter added: “Ukash offers a secure and easy method of deposit and withdrawing, supporting our wider on-going aim of making it easier for customers to transact with Betfair.”
