Sports betting software provider SBTech has enhanced its in-play betting offering with the launch of a new fast markets product that allows players to have their bets settled within minutes.

The fast markets solution sees players bet in-play on specific events such as goals, corners, free kicks, throw-ins or cards, which take place in the next one to five minutes.

Successful bets will then be settled immediately, allowing for a faster-paced and exciting in-play experience, the company claims.

The product has been launched exclusively by SBTech across online, mobile and retail channels, and has been designed to integrate easily into sports betting platforms as a stand-alone product, meaning larger bookmakers can use it as an extension of their existing in-play product.

SBTech chief executive Itai Zak commented that his company was committed to provide the most innovative products and solutions, as evidenced by the launch of fast markets.

“The introduction of fast markets will target the needs of recreational players who want to enjoy a richer live betting experience to heighten their sense of excitement and involvement while watching a match,” Zak explained.

The solution has already been launched by three of SBTech’s customers, 10Bet, ComeOn and NetBet, with the solution to be launched by the supplier’s other customers during the next quarter of the year.

10Bet head of player affairs Daniel Caswell said his company had launched the fast markets product a few days before the start of the World Cup.

“[So] far, we’ve noticed that fast markets have generated a considerable amount of soccer bets while increasing average turnover per player and attracting casual players looking for a faster betting experience,” Casewell explained.
