London-listed gaming operator Gaming Realms has agreed a partnership with Bauer Media UK, a subsidiary of the Hamburg-based European media giant, to promote its Spin Genie brand.

The three-year partnership and revenue share agreement will see the real-money gaming site promoted across Bauer’s UK radio stations such as Heat, Kiss, Magic and Absolute, as well as via magazine titles Heat and Closer.

“We are incredibly excited about the developments happening during this new phase of the business,” Gaming Realms chief executive Patrick Southon said.

“Our platform has already proven that it has class leading characteristics in terms of acquisition, retention and monetisation and it is exciting to be extending our marketing reach via these blue chip media companies."

The drive to promote the Spin Genie site also sees English dancer and TV personality Louie Spence join as its new ambassador, replacing mascot Spin the Dog.

Spence gained national fame in the reality TV show Pineapple Dance Studios, and has also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, winter sports competition The Jump, and as a judge on ice skating talent contest Dancing on Ice.

“We are delighted to have Louie Spence on board,” Southon commented. ““Spin Genie hosts games that are fast and fun, and Louie exudes these qualities perfectly.

“We are confident that Louie will add lots of entertainment and pizazz to the brand, and we hope that our players will enjoy the transformation.”

Commenting on his new role, Spence said: “I’m delighted to be the new Spin Genie – any excuse to dress up in flamboyant costumes and strut my stuff in front of the camera.

“The games are energetic and fabulous (just like me) so I couldn’t think of a better person to fill Spin Genie’s shoes – could you?”

Shares in Gaming Realms plc (Co.Data) (AIM:GMR) were trading up 1.55 per cent at 19.93 pence per share in London Friday morning.
