Accel Entertainment has appointed Cheryl Kondra to its board of directors to replace Eden Godsoe, who did not stand for re-election.

Kondra assumes her board position with immediate effect and will also serve as chair of the gaming operator’s audit committee.

Kondra boasts more than two decades of casino industry experience at the likes of Caesars Entertainment, Genting Americas, and Pinnacle Entertainment, and currently serves as a member of the board of Galaxy Gaming.

“With Cheryl’s deep expertise in the casino and gaming sector, we are confident her insights will help us further our goal of becoming best-in-class in audit and compliance in the gaming industry and position us to capture new opportunities which align with our expansion strategy,” said Accel Entertainment CEO Andy Rubenstein.

“We welcome Cheryl to the board and look forward to her guidance as we expand into the brick-and-mortar retail and casino space.”

Rubenstein also thanked Godsoe for her contributions to the company as a member of the board.

Accel Entertainment generated net revenue of $1.23 billion in 2024 from its gaming terminal operations in multiple US states, with Illinois the company’s biggest market with net revenue of $906.6 million during the year. Accel’s net income for the year amounted to $35.3 million.

Shares in Accel Entertainment Inc. (NYSE:ACEL) gained 2.05 per cent to close at $10.96 per share in New York Friday.
