US iGaming operator VIP Play has appointed former Caesars Entertainment executive Les Ottolenghi as its new CEO.

Ottolenghi brings more than twenty-five years of C-suite experience driving technology–led growth in gaming, entertainment and media, most recently serving as chief commercial & transformation officer at Iowa news publisher Lee Enterprises.

Prior to that he was chief commercial officer and chief information officer (CIO) at e-learning provider Stride for three years, and executive vice president & CIO at Caesars Entertainment for four years. He also served as global CIO & chief innovation officer for Las Vegas Sands Corp.

“Les is the ideal leader to guide VIP Play through its transformation,” said VIP Play board chair Bruce Cassidy, who previously served as CEO. “His track record of harnessing advanced technologies to unlock new markets and enhance customer engagement aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver innovative and engaging wagering experiences.”

Commenting on his appointment, Ottolenghi said: “Today’s consumers expect entertainment that is intelligent, frictionless, and hyper-personalized. By fusing cloud scalability with next–generation AI, VIP Play will redefine the patron’s experience while setting a new standard for innovation, security, and social responsibility in the gaming industry.”
