OPAP-owned Greece and Cyprus-facing bookmaker Stoiximan has appointed Nikos Fligos as its new chief executive officer (CEO).
Fligos has been with the company since November 2024 as managing director, and prior to that spent two years as commercial director at Kaizen Gaming.
He has also held senior positions at Coca-Cola, Papastratos, and Diageo.
Fligos is replacing George Daskalakis, who is stepping down to focus on the Kaizen Gaming brand Betano.
Daskalakis founded Stoiximan in 2012 and oversaw the company for the past 13 years, serving as its leader when OPAP completed the acquisition of 84.49 per cent of Stoiximan from Kaizen Gaming in 2020.
In a LinkedIn post, Daskalakis commented: “Sounds strange that I won’t be part of this beautiful story any more, but Stoiximan needs a fully focused leadership which I am not in a position to provide due to my Kaizen Gaming commitments.
“So today, after 13 years, I am proud to say that I am getting off the ship, leaving it in great shape. I would like to wish all the best to my successor, Nikos Fligos, and the rest of the team, many of whom I have had the joy to see blossom within the company. Enjoy the ride!
“Kaizen Gaming will continue to power Stoiximan, so I will be just a proud technology provider of yours going forward.”
