Gaming and Leisure Properties Inc. (GLPI) has appointed Carlo Santarelli to the newly created role of senior vice president of corporate strategy and investor relations.
Santarelli will take up his new role on 18 August and will report directly to GLPI president and chief operating officer Brandon Moore.
Santarelli joins GLPI after an extensive career in finance, most recently serving as managing director of gaming & lodging equity research at Deutsche Bank.
He has also held similar positions at Bear Stearns, JP Morgan and Wells Fargo.
“We’ve known and respected Carlo’s research work on the gaming, lodging and gaming REIT sectors for many years,” said Carlino.
“Carlo brings to GLPI an in-depth knowledge of the industry and its participants, having experienced GLPI’s original formation of the gaming triple-net-REIT structure from a research analyst and capital markets perspective.
“We value his deep network of contacts among institutional investors, sell-side analysts and a wide range of gaming industry operators and we look forward to the value of his contributions.”
Shares in Gaming and Leisure Properties Inc. (NASDAQ:GLPI) closed 1.63 per cent higher at $47.39 per share in New York Tuesday.
