The Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) has appointed Chris Santschi as president and chief executive officer.
Santschi assumes the role from VP of finance and strategy Kerry Wolfe, who has been serving as acting CEO since February 2025.
He makes the switch to the WCLC, having most recently served as director of sales and customer growth strategy for North America at Sysco Corporation, where he led new market expansion, sales strategy optimisation and cost leadership.
“Chris’s track record in sustainable growth and sales strategy makes him the right leader for WCLC at this pivotal moment,” said WCLC chair Kandice Machado. “We look forward to his guidance as we invest in existing channels and modernise how we support lottery players, partners, and stakeholders.”
Santchi said of his appointment: “I’m honoured to join WCLC at a time of significant transformation. I’m eager to work with the team and leverage my experience to help drive that work forward, building on WCLC’s strong foundations and five-decade history as a trusted provider of lottery entertainment.”
WCLC is a non-profit organisation operating lottery and gaming-related activities for the Canadian provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut participate as associate members.
