Online slots developer Northern Lights Gaming has appointed co-founder Ed Pattman as head of studio.
Pattman co-founded the developer in 2017 alongside Andrew Goodale, who recently left the studio to pursue new opportunities.
Since the studio’s inception, Pattman has held the role of lead artist and, in May 2023, became a producer, overseeing the entire game development process.
In his new role, Pattman will be responsible for the developer’s creative and production teams. He will be assisted by Scott Newby, who has taken up the position of head of games with expanded responsibility for leading the studio’s creative vision and product strategy.
“Ed is one of the most talented and experienced game producers in the industry and has been a driving force behind some of the most successful titles in our portfolio,” said Northern Lights Gaming CEO Chris Loftus.
“As head of studio, Ed will continue to play a hands-on role in the development of our games, while also overseeing our creative and production teams to ensure we continue to innovate and deliver quality games for operators and players.
“Northern Lights now has an incredibly strong senior team in place to lead the business forward, and with some truly epic games rolling off our production line in the coming months.”
Commenting on his new role, Pattman said: “I’m so proud of what Northern Lights Gaming has achieved over the last eight years and couldn’t be happier stepping into the role of Head of Studio.
“It means I get to enjoy my passion for producing thrilling slot games while also contributing to the direction and growth of the studio that I co-founded with Andrew back in 2017.
“Andrew may have departed, but with a new management team in place, we will absolutely continue with our original mission to create epic slot games that put players on the edge of their seats, spin after spin.”
