Berlin-based casino games studio Gamomat Development has appointed Svenja Kempf as chief financial officer (CFO).

Kempf has experience in finance and management roles in high-growth, digital and international corporate environments within the gaming and entertainment industry, and will be responsible for Gamomat’s finance, administration and legal departments.

She most recently served as CFO of German fashion brand Les Lunes, and prior to that worked for digital media company Studio71 and computer games developer Aeria Games.

“Svenja brings the ideal combination of analytical strength, strategic thinking and leadership skills that we need for our next phase of growth,” said Gamomat Development managing director Dr Alexandra Krone. “She is an excellent addition to our leadership team, both professionally and personally. With her, we gain a CFO who combines strategic clarity with an entrepreneurial mindset.”

Commenting on her new role, Kempf said: “Gamomat stands for sustainable values and a clear strategic direction. I am very much looking forward to shaping the future together with the team and further strengthening Gamomat’s position.”

With this addition to the management board, the company also achieves gender parity at management level.

“Diversity is not a coincidence – it is a conscious decision,” continued Krone. “Diversity brings together different perspectives, fosters better decision-making and makes us as an organisation more successful and resilient. Structuring our management board in a balanced way reflects our clear values and a recruitment approach that consistently focuses on competence.”

Alongside founder Dietmar Hermjohannes and Krone, Gamomat Development’s management team (pictured above) comprises chief brand & designer officer Sabine Müller, chief strategy officer Dr Sebastian Reddig, and chief technology officer Paul Schulleri.
