Sydney-listed The Lottery Corporation has made changes to its executive leadership team to support the next stage of the company’s strategy and accelerate growth.

The changes to the composition and accountabilities of the executive leadership team will become effective from 1 July, subject to receipt of necessary regulatory approvals.

The Lottery Corporation will create three customer-facing business units – Lotteries, Digital and Keno – each with a distinct mandate and clear accountability to sharpen strategic focus.

Each unit will be led by a newly appointed chief operating officer (COO).

Callum Mulvihill will be appointed COO – Lotteries, with a remit to grow the company’s core lotteries product portfolio, maximising performance across the retail network and digital wholesale partnerships. He has been serving as chief commercial officer since June 2022.

Loren Somerville will be appointed COO – Digital, with a mandate to drive digital lottery sales, deliver world-class app and web experiences, and explore new opportunities in adjacent lottery entertainment categories. She has served as chief information officer since April 2022.

Antony Moore will be appointed COO – Keno, bringing together the company’s venue-based and online Keno operations under a single leader. His mandate is to grow Keno by improving the customer proposition, making it the game of choice in venues, expanding products and unlocking the online opportunity. Moore has been chief channel officer since June 2022.

“We have a strong foundation and our strategy has served the company well, but we can unlock more value,” said The Lottery Corporation managing director & CEO Wayne Pickup. “This new structure gives us the clarity and accountability to accelerate our evolution as a digital entertainment company, concentrate on local market growth and make faster, better decisions.”

Supporting the three customer-facing business units will be three enterprise services units: Financial & Corporate Services, Strategy, and People and Brand.

The enterprise services units will provide governance, shared services and alignment across the enterprise, and will include executive leadership team members Adam Newman, Rob Ure and Michelle Williams.

Newman will remain chief financial officer, with his role expanding to include accountability for Legal, Risk, Cyber and Technology services. Ure will be appointed chief strategy officer, having served as chief corporate development officer since September 2023, while Williams will be appointed chief people and brand officer, having served as chief people officer since June 2022.

The Lottery Corporation also confirmed that two of its executives will be leaving as part of the changes.

Chief customer & marketing officer Andrew Shepherd will be leaving the company effective 1 July, while chief legal & risk officer and company secretary Nicholas Allton will step down at the end of this month.

The company said that both Shepherd and Allton have made valuable contributions to The Lottery Corporation and have been highly regarded members of the executive leadership team.

Newman will be appointed as the company secretary from 31 March on a temporary basis, while the company completes its ongoing recruitment process to appoint a permanent company secretary.
