High Roller Technologies has brought in former Connecticut Lottery Corporation executive Andrew Walter as chief legal and compliance officer.
Replacing Sarah Stienon, Walter joins the company from the Connecticut Lottery, where he has served as director of sports betting since August 2021.
He first joined the Connecticut Lottery in December 2012 as counsel and government affairs, staying for nearly eight years before joining PointsBet as senior director of compliance and regulatory affairs in August 2020.
After the passage of gaming expansion legislation in Connecticut in 2021, Walter returned to the Connecticut Lottery as the first employee hired to launch and support online and retail sports betting operations.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Andrew to High Roller’s executive leadership team,” said High Roller CEO Seth Young. “Andrew brings more than a decade of hands-on experience in gaming law, regulatory affairs, and compliance across both the public and private sectors. His deep expertise in legislative strategy, regulatory compliance, and operational oversight will be invaluable as we continue to expand responsibly across regulated markets.”
Commenting on his appointment, Walter said: “I’m honored to join High Roller at such an exciting time in the company’s growth. High Roller has established itself as a premium online gaming operator with a strong commitment to innovation and player experience.
“I look forward to strengthening our legal and compliance framework as we continue to grow in regulated markets and uphold the highest standards of integrity and responsible gaming.”
