Swedish lobby group Branschföreningen för Onlinespel (BOS) has appointed Moderate Party MP Gustaf Hoffstedt as its new secretary general.
Hoffstedt leaves his parliamentary seat at the end of the year to take up his new position on January 19th. He joins BOS following the new Swedish government’s announcement that it will implement a new licensing system for online gaming operators.
BOS chairman Magnus Silfverberg, the chief executive of Betsson, said he was very excited about the appointment coming at a time of great importance for the industry.
