Norway’s state-owned lottery operator Norsk Tipping has strengthened its senior management team with the appointments of Tina Rødahl and Vegar Strand as directors.
Rødahl has been named director of communications and public relations and will join Norsk Tipping on 1 May from consultancy firm Peer Group, which she founded in January 2023.
Prior to that she worked for eight years to grow AdColony’s LinkedIn partnership in Norway and later in Scandinavia and Turkey. She also has experience from TV2 and Dagsavisen, and was a board member for the Marketing Association of Oslo.
“I am looking forward to being part of shaping a solid and exciting brand together with a highly skilled department, and contributing to Norsk Tipping being able to offer a responsible and attractive gaming offer,” said Rødahl. “It’s something I really see value in.”
The second appointment sees Vegar Strand join Norsk Tipping as director of strategy and analysis, taking up the role after the summer.
Strand has served as managing partner of management consulting firm Oplandske for the past three years, offering services in business development, project management, change processes and finance.
He has previously served as finance and strategy director for food production company Hoff and worked for newspaper Gudbrandsdølen Dagningen, the Youth Olympics in Lillehammer, and adviser at PWC’s Oslo office.
“Norsk Tipping is a very exciting technology company, which I am looking forward to being part of and developing further,” said Strand. “In addition, it makes sense to be part of a company that gives great value back to society, and actively contributes to supporting a large breadth of voluntary Norway.”
Commenting on the two appointments, Norsk Tipping CEO Tonje Sagstuen said: “These are highly experienced managers with documented results in areas that are central to Norsk Tipping. We are looking forward to getting them in place.”
The appointments complete the new management team for Norsk Tipping following last year’s departures of former CEO Thor Gjermund Eriksen and marketing director Thorbjørn Unneberg. Sagstuen was confirmed as permanent CEO last November.
“We have employed both external and internal candidates, and now get an optimal mix of continuity and fresh perspectives,” added Sagstuen.
