Stockholm-listed supplier Evolution Gaming has temporarily closed its live casino studio in Tbilisi on the advice of the government of Georgia.
The Tblisi studio is one of eight live casino facilities operated by Evolution Gaming and its other studios in Europe are expected to pick up a large part of the suspended operations.
Evolution said Tuesday that it closed the site after being instructed to do so by the Georgian authorities, with the workforce significantly reduced as a consequence.
“The Tbilisi studio adheres to current guidelines regarding social distancing and the company has taken an extensive number of infection prevention measures in the studio,” said the company.
“Evolution Gaming is in close contact with local authorities in order to verify the taken measures and to be able to reopen the studio. The situation is developing, and Evolution will adapt continuously.”
Shares in Evolution Gaming Group AB (STO:EVO) were trading down 1.95 per cent at SEK301.50 per share in Stockholm early Tuesday morning.
