Circa Sports secures Colorado market entry with Century Casinos deal

Las Vegas-based sportsbook operator Circa Sports has agreed a deal with casino operator Century Casinos to enter Colorado’s online sports betting market.

The agreement designates Circa Sports as one of Century Casinos’ official internet sports betting operators in Colorado, with both companies submitting applications to obtain necessary licences prior to the market opening on 1 May.

The 15-year agreement gives Century Casinos a market access fee, a share of Circa Sports' net gaming revenue and a minimum annual revenue guarantee.

“Furthermore, the Colorado Division of Gaming has done an excellent job to ensure a seamless application and launch process.”

Circa Sports Colorado will operate under one of the master licenses held by Century Casino & Hotel Cripple Creek.

Century Casinos, which also owns the state's Century Casino Central City, has two other master licenses available for sports betting partnerships in Colorado.

Circa Sports launched its mobile betting app last year within the sportsbook at Golden Gate Hotel & Casino in Downtown Las Vegas and the D Las Vegas. It will also be offered in the new sportsbook at Circa Resort & Casino, slated to open this December in Las Vegas.

Shares in Century Casinos Inc (NSQ:CNTY) closed down 2.03 per cent at $8.21 per share in New York Monday.
