FanDuel is strengthening its responsible gambling initiatives with the appointment of Keith Whyte as a strategic advisor.
Whyte served as executive director of the National Council on Problem Gambling for 26 years before stepping down in January to set up his own advisory firm, Safer Gambling Strategies.
As a strategic advisor to FanDuel, Whyte will evaluate the company’s responsible gambling strategy and programs and help to identify new opportunities to further a culture of responsible gaming.
He will also help to create new content for FanDuel’s Trusted Voices: Conversations About Betting program, which launched last year in collaboration with EPIC Global Solutions and FanDuel responsible gaming ambassadors Randy Livingston and Anita Ondine Smith.
“We are honoured to have Keith Whyte join our team as a strategic advisor for our responsible gaming programming,” said Cory Fox, FanDuel’s senior vice president of public policy and sustainability. “At FanDuel, we are committed to elevating the industry standard for Responsible Gaming. We’re excited to welcome Keith to our Responsible Gaming team and are confident his experience and subject matter knowledge will further strengthen our leadership in this space.”
Whyte commented: “FanDuel has consistently demonstrated industry leading commitment to responsible gaming, and I’ve long admired their proactive approach. I’m thrilled to join the team and contribute my experience to further advancing FanDuel’s efforts in promoting safe and responsible play.”
Shares in FanDuel parent Flutter Entertainment plc (NYSE:FLUT) closed 0.70 per cent lower at $292.38 per share in New York Thursday.
