Sportradar has extended its agreement to provide integrity solutions to the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
Continuing a collaboration that began in 2017, Sportradar will use its fraud detection system to monitor more than 8,200 men’s and women’s matches in Brazil each year, with the extended agreement also now covering all Brazilian national championships.
“We have built a strong collaboration with CBF to reinforce the integrity of Brazilian football,” said Sportradar EVP of integrity and regulatory services, Andreas Krannich. “With this new agreement, Sportradar is providing the most comprehensive coverage Brazilian football has ever had. We are very pleased to continue this partnership with one of the world’s most-renowned football organisations.”
Ednaldo Rodrigues, president of the CBF, commented: “Strengthening the integrity of Brazilian football is a priority for this administration, and the renewal of this partnership further reinforces our commitment to this mission.
“The work of the CBF’s Integrity Unit, in collaboration with Sportradar, will complement monitoring by FIFA and result in more than 10,000 Brazilian football matches being covered this season. It’s an impressive and symbolic milestone that makes us very proud.
“This is a partnership that has been bearing fruit and has been crucial in the fight against match-fixing, ensuring a fairer and safer environment for the sport.”
