BetMakers Technology Group has announced a deal to provide its Apollo wagering platform to power The Booki Group’s PonyBet brand.

The platform promises to deliver a highly personalised, agile wagering experience to The Booki Group, as the company aims to build on the early success of its PonyBet brand in Australia.

The partnership with BetMakers follows the recent appointment of Jason Scott, a former CEO of Racing Queensland and former senior executive with Entain and BetMGM, as CEO of The Booki Group.

The Booki Group has a multi-brand strategy and plans to launch additional brands over the next year.

“With Scott at the helm and BetMakers providing the technology backbone, the group is well-positioned to deliver differentiated products to market at speed and scale,” the company said in a statement.

BetMaker chief executive Martin Tripp said: “The early success of PonyBet on the Apollo platform has been fantastic to see and a great endorsement of the BetMakers solution. We’re excited to partner closely with Jason, Brian and the TBG team as they execute on their vision for a dynamic, multi-brand wagering business.”

Scott said of the partnership: “I’ve been incredibly impressed with the Apollo platform and the team behind it. The technology gives us the flexibility to move fast and innovate, and I’m excited to work with BetMakers to deliver unique and engaging products that modern punters are looking for.”

Shares in BetMakers Technology Group Limited (ASX:BET) gained 8.33 per cent to close at AU$0.13 per share in Sydney Thursday.
