BetMakers Technology Group has formed a strategic partnership with Australian racing outlet Betsy as an equity and technology partner.

Under the terms of the deal, BetMakers will provide technology and data infrastructure to support Betsy, including data analytics, racing information and wagering technology aimed at enhancing audience interaction.

Betsy was founded by racing media veterans Matt Welsh and Paul Tatnell and provides coverage of Australian racing in the form of analysis, opinions, podcasts and news.

“Betsy is here for the punter, to inform, entertain, and help grow racing,” said Tatnell. “Partnering with BetMakers ensures we can deliver premium content backed by world-class technology while staying true to our independent editorial voice.”

Welsh commented: “This partnership represents the best of both worlds, storytelling and technology. Together, Betsy and BetMakers are building something special, a platform that celebrates the sport, engages punters, and helps grow the game for future generations.”

Martin Tripp, chief operating officer at BetMakers Technology Group, added: “Betsy is exactly the kind of innovation racing needs, built by people who love the sport and want to grow it through honesty, insight, and connection.

“We’re proud to back Betsy with our market-leading racing technology, including our Racelab analytics and data services, helping power a smarter, more engaging experience for punters and fans.”
