Canadian lottery supplier Pollard Banknote has been selected as the new lottery platform provider for Belgium’s Loterie Nationale.
The long-term contract was awarded following a competitive procurement process and is worth an estimated €177 million.
Pollard Banknote will provide a full end-to-end solution to the lottery, covering both retail and online channels.
Key components of the new platform include a central gaming system for draw-based games, management of eInstant games, player engagement technology, as well as an instant ticket management system for warehousing and distribution.
“This award represents a significant milestone in Pollard Banknote’s history,” said Pollard Banknote co-CEO Doug Pollard. “By choosing Catalyst to power its core operations, Loterie Nationale has not only placed its trust in us, but has also endorsed our vision for the future of lottery innovation.
“Together, we’re redefining the global standard for how lotteries engage with players—securely, responsibly, and seamlessly across channels.”
Pollard Banknote was provisionally selected as the lottery’s platform provider last month.
Shares in Pollard Banknote Ltd (TSE:PBL) closed 6.31per cent lower at C$21.52 per share in Toronto Friday.
