Swedish casino games developer Net Entertainment has paid out a €3.3m jackpot to a Finnish resident playing the company’s popular pooled jackpot slot game Arabian Nights on Casumo.com.

The payout represents the biggest Net Entertainment jackpot so far during 2014, and follows last week’s largest-ever Scandinavian pooled mobile jackpot payout through the company’s Mega Fortune Touch mobile game.

The lucky player was a 50-year-old man from southern Finland playing on Casumo.com, although the payout remains some way short of the Guinness World Record payout of €17.9m from Mega Fortune in January 2013.

“It’s a pleasure to announce yet another life-changing Jackpot Arabian Nights and we extend our congratulations to both the winner and Casumo,” said Simon Hammon, chief product officer of Net Entertainment. “This is the second significant sum paid out this year and it reinforces that our video slot pooled jackpots build up very quickly, which is supported by the high liquidity passing through these games.”

Arabian Nights is a progressive jackpot and part of Net Entertainment’s jackpot network, where the liquidity from players from many of the largest European online casinos is pooled. Other notable pooled jackpots from the Net Entertainment portfolio include Mega Fortune and Hall of Gods.

Shares in Net Entertainment AB (Co. Data) (OMX:NET-B) are currently trading down 1.61 per cent at SEK152.50 per share in Stockholm this morning.
