Betware has signed an agreement with online gaming software provider Microgaming under which Betware will be licensed to sell and market Microgaming’s suite of online casino games to state and national lotteries.

Under the agreement, Betware will supplement its suite of lotto, instants, sports betting, bingo, racing, skill and casual and multi-player games with over 85 online casino games from Microgaming.

“We are very proud and excited to be licensed to sell and market Microgaming’s casino games to growing markets,” said Stefán Hrafnkelsson, CEO of Betware. “This agreement significantly expands our product offering, and provides our customers with a great opportunity to leverage on the fantastic success of the Microgaming brand. Ultimately we believe that this venture will not only be beneficial for the state lotteries we service, but for both ourselves and Microgaming too.”

Betware has 14 years experience in providing Internet solutions for state and national lotteries and currently offers a turnkey solution, gaming platform and a large portfolio of games to customers including Denmark’s Danske Spil, Canada’s British Columbia Lottery Corporation, Spain’s Sistemas Tecnicos de Loterias del Estado, and Iceland’s Islenskar Getraunir and Islensk Getspa.

“We are delighted to be able to license our casino games to Betware, which is truly a market leader in its field,” said Microgaming CEO Roger Raatgever. “Betware’s long history in gaming combined with its extensive lottery network will be beneficial in pushing the Microgaming brand into exciting new territories and markets. We look forward to a long and successful working relationship.”
