The three-month application period for generic top-level domains (gTLD) such as .poker and .vegas begins tomorrow, with hundreds of major brands reportedly set to submit applications.

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) last year approved plans to increase the number of gTLDs from the current list of twenty-two, which includes familiar top-level domains such as .com, .org and .net, to potentially thousands based on words and brand names.
