William Hill plc has pulled out of the Irish retail betting market with the sale of its entire Irish estate to Boylesports for €1.5m.
William Hill said it expects to incur an exceptional charge of approximately £2.0m on the disposal of the 15 shops, net of cash consideration, with the sale expected to be completed in early December. Following the sale, the company will continue to serve the Irish market via its Irish website.
