Italy to issue new licences, clampdown on illegal operators

The Italian government’s insatiable appetite for revenues from the gaming sector looks likely to produce three new tenders in the autumn, designed to generate cash of €1.4bn and open up the market further, whilst new rules have been proposed to cut competition from overseas operators.
