British bookmaker Ladbrokes plc has agreed to acquire Global Betting Exchange Alderney Ltd, operator of the Betdaq betting exchange, for an initial consideration of €30m.
The move strengthens Ladbrokes position in the sports betting market by enabling the company to offer exchange betting alongside its existing bookmaking business, with the company stating that a large proportion of its customers already use a betting exchange.
