DoJ paves the way for legal online gaming in the US

2012 looks set to be the year in which the US gaming industry finally embraces the internet after the Department of Justice reversed its long held interpretation of the Wire Act, concluding that interstate transmissions of wire communications that do not relate to a “sporting event or contest” fall outside the reach of the Act.
