Japan’s MIXI has migrated its Australian online betting brand betM to BetMakers’ new Apollo platform, as the company continues to grow its presence in the market.
betM has operated in Australia for the past three years and has now migrated to BetMakers’ technology and Managed Trading Services suite, with the operator noting minimal operational impact from the migration
By integrating with BetMakers’ MTS, betM seeks to optimise its trading operations and manage risk more effectively, helping to expand its share of Australia’s online wagering market.
“We are delighted to have completed the migration to BetMakers’ new Apollo platform,” said Ryo Kitamura, CEO of MIXI’s Australian subsidiary MGB. “We’ve been able to achieve the switch very quickly and we are now ready to provide new and existing customers with an advanced betting solution.
“We are very excited about the upcoming products available through Apollo and the opportunity to work with the BetMakers team to deliver the best possible results.”
Lucas Hopkins, head of commercial at BetMakers, commented: “BetMakers is very pleased to welcome betM to the BetMakers’ Apollo platform. I’m incredibly proud of the speed and precision the team has shown in handling the migration of an existing business from another technical solution.
“We are excited about sharing our roadmap of new features with betM and are thrilled to get this validation for the hard work and planning that the team have put into building the Apollo platform.”
MIXI’s growth plans in Australia include the acquisition of PointsBet, which has been recommended by the board of directors of PointsBet for shareholder approval at a meeting in June. The board of PointsBet recommended the MIXI offer over a rival bid from Australian wagering operator BlueBet, which was rejected this week.
Shares in BetMakers Technology Group Ltd (ASX:BET) closed unchanged at AU$0.093 per share in Sydney Friday, while shares in betM parent MIXI Inc (TYO:2121) closed 3.13 per cent lower at JPY3,095.00 per share in Tokyo.
