Resorts World Las Vegas has confirmed the appointment of Jennifer Roberts as chief compliance officer.

Roberts joins the operator after a number of disciplinary actions by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, including the recent $10.5 million settlement for historical anti-money laundering failures.

She is tasked with leading the compliance team and identifying and remedying potential compliance risks so as to ensure that Resort World Las Vegas meets the required regulatory standard.

Roberts brings a wealth of industry experience to Resorts World and most recently served as vice president and general counsel at Wynn Resorts.

“On behalf of the entire leadership team, I am pleased to welcome Jennifer to Resorts World,” said Resorts World Las Vegas CEO Alex Dixon. “Her deep expertise in gaming law and understanding of the casino regulatory environment makes her uniquely positioned to continue our efforts to build and sustain a robust, world-class compliance program.

“Integrity, commitment and ethics are critical components of the culture at Resorts World Las Vegas, and Jennifer will play a key role in further strengthening our compliance program, ensuring it is appropriately designed, resourced, tested and empowered to promote a culture of compliance.”

Roberts said of her new role: “I am thrilled to join this stellar team of professionals and help drive the continued development of a best-in-class compliance program here at Resorts World Las Vegas.

“I want to thank the leadership team for this opportunity and look forward to working closely with them as we build on the significant progress already made.”
