Betsson has agreed a sponsorship extension with the ATP Nordia Open to continue to serve as the tournament’s official betting partner.

The Stockholm-listed operator first added the major tennis tournament to its sponsorship portfolio last year, with this year’s edition starting on 13 July in Båstad, Sweden.

As part of the sponsorship, Betsson will have prominent visibility throughout the venue, while Betsson customers will benefit from a wide range of betting options on the tournament.

“Tennis plays a key role in Betsson’s sponsorship strategy – both in Sweden and globally,” said Betsson Group head of PR, Robin Olenius. “We’ve supported the sport at various levels and across different regions, but few places compare to the unique atmosphere of Båstad. For us, this is more than just a tournament, it’s a cherished summer tradition we’re proud to support.”

Christer Hult, managing director at Arena Båstad, commented: “We’re very pleased that Betsson is extending its partnership with us. It not only strengthens the tournament’s reputation and presence on the international tennis scene, but also reflects Betsson’s long-term commitment to the sport.”

Shares in Betsson AB (STO:BETS-B) were trading 4.19 per cent lower at SEK192.20 per share in Stockholm Tuesday morning.
