Superbet has honoured €30 million in customer payouts in Romania following a technical bug in a game on its platform.

The issue occurred over the weekend and was caused by a technical problem which the operator is currently investigating.

During preliminary investigations, Superbet identified that several players’ winnings were incorrectly calculated, resulting in players being issued larger amounts of winnings than they were entitled to.

Despite early reports from Romania stating that the operator had frozen the accounts of affected players, Superbet has confirmed that it will honour all payouts that occurred due to the glitch.

Superbet said that honouring the payouts demonstrates its commitment to its customers, which is built on trust.

“This approach has been a core pillar of our exponential growth. Thanks to this mindset, Superbet has managed to innovate continuously, push the boundaries of what can be done, and become one of the leading global operators in our industry,” said the company.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to customer satisfaction, providing our clients with the most engaging, innovative, and secure digital entertainment ecosystem in sports betting and gaming.”

Superbet has also reassured customers that the issue has been resolved and that its platform is safe and fully available.
