Flutter Entertainment’s Paddy Power has opened its first retail sportsbook at The Hippodrome Casino in central London.

Paddy’s Sportsbook is the dedicated sportsbook area inside the Hippodrome Casino in Leicester Square, operating on the Hippodrome’s license and with the Paddy Power brand.

The sportsbook opened its doors to the public yesterday and features 80 TV screens, offering bettors a wide range of markets across football, horse racing and US sports, with live odds, in-play pricing and staffed tills.

Any bets placed in the sportsbook can only be redeemed at the Hippodrome, with winning slips unable to be redeemed at local Paddy Power shops.

“That’s right, the big man’s really gone for it this time and he’s curated the ultimate sport lover’s haven that is also the perfect spot for a night out, a bite to eat, to watch the game and to have a flutter if you fancy,” said Paddy Power. “You can even get your hair cut here if you like. Seriously, we’ve even got a barbers too! Premier League superstars, eat your heart out.”

The Hippodrome is one of the largest casino venues in the United Kingdom and also features a state-of-the-art PokerStars live floor providing cash games around the clock.

Shares in Paddy Power and PokerStars parent company Flutter Entertainment plc (NYSE:FLUT) closed 1.10 per cent lower at $249.64 per share in New York Thursday.
