Philippines-listed electronic gaming platform operator DigiPlus Interactive Corp. has paused its first Brazilian brand, GamePlus, following a soft launch period.
GamePlus soft-launched in Brazil on 22 September, with the operator describing the soft launch as a “live learning laboratory” which enabled it to capture insights into player behaviour, cultural preferences and entertainment dynamics.
Following the soft launch, DigiPlus has now hit pause on a full rollout in the market, with its teams in Brazil and at its Philippines headquarters channelling their efforts toward the development of a “self-developed, best-in-class, and locally innovative product offering”.
The new product is scheduled to launch in early 2026.
“We are taking the strategic step to pause GamePlus in Brazil so we can come back stronger with a digital entertainment offering that is not only locally relevant but also resonates deeply with Brazilian culture and entertainment habits,” said DigiPlus chairman Eusebio H. Tanco.
Shares in DigiPlus Interactive Corp. (PSE: PLUS) dipped by 0.43 per cent to close at ₱23.35 per share in Manila Wednesday.
