FanDuel and DraftKings have launched their new online sportsbooks in Arkansas after securing licence approval last month.

The approvals from the Arkansas Racing Commission followed DraftKings’ partnership with Southland Casino, while FanDuel serves as the online partner of Oaklawn Casino, which has launched a newly branded Oaklawn Sports offering.

“Arkansas is home to passionate sports fans and represents an important growth market for our business,” said Karol Corcoran, managing director of sportsbook at FanDuel. “Customers can expect an easy-to-use app, exciting promotions, fast payouts, and our market-leading live betting and parlay experience, all delivered through a safe and secure platform.”

Oaklawn became Arkansas’s first legal sportsbook in July 2019, and the state regulated online sports betting in 2022 with each brick-and-mortar casino allowed to deploy two mobile sportsbook platforms.

“As we considered the future evolution of our mobile offering, we were determined to deliver our customers the exceptional, high-quality experience they rightfully anticipate from the Oaklawn brand,” said Wayne Smith, general manager of Oaklawn. “This partnership with FanDuel enables us to provide our online patrons with the superior, industry-leading experience they truly deserve.”

The launch comes in the midst of March Madness, as the Arkansas Razorbacks head into their Round of 32 matchup against High Point.
