Flutter Entertainment has confirmed that Alfred Hurley Jr. will step down from the company’s board of directors after the company’s annual general meeting (AGM) at the end of May.

Hurley has served as an independent director of the company since June 2016 and has notified the Board of his decision to retire and not to stand for re-election at the AGM on May 29, having completed a ten-year term.

With effect from the conclusion of the AGM, Nancy Dubuc will replace Hurley as chair of Flutter Entertainment’s Compensation and Human Resources Committee.

“On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Al for his ten years of dedicated service, including his significant contributions during our U.S. listing transition, and exceptional stewardship of our Compensation and Human Resources Committee,” said Flutter Entertainment chairman John Bryant. “We wish him every success ahead.”

Before that, he was vice chair and chief risk officer of Emigrant Bank and Emigrant Bancorp, and previously CEO of M. Safra & Co, having spent most of his career at Merrill Lynch.
