Gaming-focused venture capital firm sees strong potential in no-code platform
Waterhouse VC is backing iGaming platform provider Spinlab Studio with an investment and option to acquire an interest in the business.
The venture capital firm said the investment reflects its focus on supplier-side infrastructure businesses that support the growth of online gambling globally.
Waterhouse VC did not disclose the value of the investment but said that it gives it a three-year option to acquire a stake in the business.
“Spinlab Studio is one of the fastest-moving platforms we’ve seen in this space, with strong early demand from operators,” said Tom Waterhouse, chief investment officer of Waterhouse VC. “They are addressing a key operational challenge – helping operators bring products to market more efficiently and quickly without the usual complexity.”
Spinlab Studio is a no-code iGaming platform that is designed to help operators launch and scale online betting and gaming businesses without building complex infrastructure.
The platform aims to reduce the time and cost required to launch an iGaming operation and includes compliance, games, payments and responsible gambling tools.
Leon Lanen, co-founder of Spinlab Studio, commented: “Launching an iGaming operation is still too complex and expensive. Spinlab Studio removes that friction so operators can get to market quickly and focus on building their business. We aim to do for the iGaming industry what Shopify did to e-commerce.”
Spinlab Studio launched in January 2026.
