New COO brings extensive experience in leading high-volume, multi-country manufacturing businesses
Interblock has named former Haier executive Marco Balliano as president and chief operating officer for the EMEA region.
Balliano assumes responsibility for manufacturing planning, quality, procurement and service operations in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, having previously served as general manager EMEA at Chinese home appliance manufacturer Haier.
He has also held senior general management and marketing roles at Candy Group and Whirlpool Europe.
“What struck me about Interblock is the pride the teams take in the product and how close they are to their customers,” said Balliano. “That’s a strong foundation and we’ll build on it together, continuing on the path this company has set and raising the standard as we grow.”
Balliano will be based at Interblock’s site in Mengeš, Slovenia, and will represent the company at G2E Las Vegas later this month.
