Experienced gaming executive will lead the development of Interblock’s global product strategy, including a new Omnichannel solution to be unveiled at G2E Las Vegas next week
Interblock Gaming has appointed former Las Vegas Sands and OpenBet executive Cathryn Lai as its new chief product officer.
Lai will lead the development of Interblock’s global product strategy, leveraging player and operator insights to drive innovation and growth across our portfolio.
She will also oversee the supplier’s expanding online business, bringing Interblock’s gaming experiences into the digital space while advancing a seamless omnichannel experience for players around the globe.
Lai brings more than 15 years of gaming industry experience, having held leadership positions across product management, commercial, operations and marketing.
She served nearly two years as chief operating officer for Sands Digital, part of Las Vegas Sands Corp, and spend more than three years as chief commercial officer for OpenBet.
Prior to that, she worked in a number of senior executive roles at Scientific Games and WMS Gaming, which was acquired by Scientific Games in October 2013.
“Her extensive expertise in both land-based and digital gaming will play a key role in accelerating Interblock’s continued growth and strengthening our position as an industry leader,” said Interblock. “We are excited for the future and look forward to the impact her leadership will bring.”
Interblock will present its new Omnichannel solution for the first time at G2E Las Vegas next week at Booth #1239, bringing the company’s traditional casino portfolio into the online space and marking an important expansion into digital gaming.
“Interblock is in a very strong position, and we are not standing still,” said Kay Oswald, CEO of Interblock. “We are challenging ourselves to keep improving, to think differently, and to stay close to what our customers and their players need. G2E is an opportunity to demonstrate the work already underway across the business, and I am excited for the industry to see what we have accomplished and where we’re headed.”
