Leading prediction market platform reinforces commitment to protecting users and its marketplace

Polymarket has unveiled a suite of enhanced user protection and responsible trading tools to protect its users and marketplace.

The new tools include voluntary self-exclusion, deposit limits and access to mental health resources for users experiencing compulsive trading behaviours.

The prediction market platform is also building out its Trust and Safety team to oversee these efforts across its US and international platforms, while publishing new community guidelines and content moderation standards.

In addition, Polymarket has partnered with Birches Health, the largest national provider of behavioural and process addiction treatment, to provide mental health resources for users experiencing compulsive financial trading behaviours.

Polymarket is also developing educational materials to help participants better understand responsible trading and the tools available to manage their activity, including a co-branded Trading Responsibly guide, which includes a four-question self-check to help users identify when it may be time to seek additional support.

‘People should be able to set their own limits, step away on their own terms, and know what the rules are,” said Malea Otranto, global head of trust and safety at Polymarket. “That is what launched today, and it is the floor, not the ceiling. We’re excited to continue to build out from here.”
