Hopkins is tasked with delivering sustainable long-term value across Yggdrasil’s Game in a Box, Studio in a Box, and YGG Masters pillars

Yggdrasil Gaming has appointed David Hopkins as chief transformation officer to deliver the supplier’s next phase of its growth.

Hopkins has a strong track record of leading transformation across complex, high-growth businesses and brings extensive experience from the iGaming sector, having worked for Flutter Entertainment, Entain, William Hill and Sky Betting & Gaming.

Yggdrasil said that after investing heavily in its technology, tools and operating models, the focus will now shift to productionising that innovation and unlocking its full potential.

Hopkins will work across the entire organization – Product, Technology, Commercial, Marketing, Finance and Legal – to simplify and streamline how Yggdrasil operates and create a highly effective model for execution and growth.

Yggdrasil CEO James Curwen commented: “David is a hugely important hire for Yggdrasil, and I’m incredibly excited to have him on board. He brings exactly the combination of strategic thinking, operational discipline, and industry experience we need at this stage of our journey.

“As we continue to grow, our priority is to make sure the organization is set up to move with greater clarity, speed, and accountability. David has a proven ability to work across complex businesses, bring teams together, and turn ambitious strategies into practical, measurable outcomes. I have every confidence that his experience and leadership will have a significant impact on Yggdrasil and on the value, we create for our customers, partners and shareholders.”

Commenting on his appointment, Hopkins said: “Yggdrasil has built a strong platform for what comes next, and that is what makes this opportunity so compelling. My focus will be on helping the business turn its strengths into even greater impact – creating the right structure, focus and alignment to support the next stage of Yggdrasil’s evolution.”
