The latest gambling participation figures from the UK Gambling Commission show an overall decrease in the level of participation, particularly among younger adults.

The figures for the year to March 2016 show that 45 per cent of all survey respondents participated in at least one form of gambling in the past four weeks, down from 51 per cent in March 2015. This includes participation in the National Lottery.
