Swedish casino games supplier NetEnt has made its first move into the Latin American market through an agreement with Spanish gaming operator Codere.

The agreement expands NetEnt's existing supply deal with Codere, which saw it roll-out its games in the Spanish market in April 2015.

Codere is also a major operator in Latin American and one of Mexico's largest casino operators, where it holds licenses to offer online and land-based games.

NetEnt Americas managing director Björn Krantz expressed his delight at entering yet another new market.

"This is our first market entry in Latin America and marks another milestone as we follow our long-term strategy to enter and grow in new regulated markets," Krantz said. "I'm convinced that we can support Codere's online casino growth and that players in Mexico will enjoy our world-class thrilling games."

Shares in NetEnt AB (Co.Data) (OMX:NET-B) climbed 1.45 per cent to SEK66.50 per share on the news in Stockholm early Monday morning.
